MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of providing chiropractic care is to affect the well being of the community. Using a drug free holistic approach to healthcare, people are restored to their optimum health. Paramount is the realization that health comes from within. Healing is a natural function of the body and does not require medications. The goal is for the doctor to stand back and let the body heal itself.
The correction of subluxations (misalignments among spinal segments that create pressure on spinal nerves) restores the normal flow of nerve impulses to the body. This allows for proper functioning of the body, enabling it to operate at it's optimum level. This improves the overall well being of the person and community, by enabling the individual to attain their inborn potential.
In this way disease is not the focus of charlotte chiropractic care. The release of imprisoned nerve impulses allowing flow from the brain through the spinal cord and out to the body prevents disease. Thus a chiropractor corrects the cause of the malfunction of disease and not just the symptoms that it produces. This provides true health. A chiropractor's purpose is to provide this care to the best of their ability improving the overall quality of life for their patients.
Chiropractors are mechanics of the spine, being spine specialists. Instead of working on an electrical system in a car they work on the electrical system of the human body. The doctor of chiropractic corrects what are called vertebral subluxations. In a subluxation, the segments of the spine have become misaligned and as a result place pressure on the nerves. This prevents the flow of nerve impulses from the brain to the spinal cord along nerves and out to the body.
