Importance of Proper Posture

Posture is simply the characteristic way in which you carry your body.  Correct posture requires proper alignment of the body's structures both in motion and at rest.  This requires not only the alignment of various structures, but also balance and coordination of the body's systems.  These structures include extremities, muscles and spinal structures, as well as, behavioral and psychological factors.

These are just some of the conditions that can result from poor posture and its' causes:

SCOLIOSIS - Curvature of the spine when viewed from the front or back.
